Hon. Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini Profile
The Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, Honourable Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, is a former Police Officer whose journey has taken him from Salem High School to Cabinet.
Honourable Dlamini completed his high school at Salem in 1999. In 2002, he joined the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), first undergoing a basic training course and graduating with a certificate in Basic Policing from the REPS Police College. Honourable Dlamini began his career as a Police Officer deployed at the Mbabane Police Station. During his time as a Police Officer, he worked in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), general duty, prosecution and the traffic departments.
In 2013, the Honourable Minister launched his political career, standing up for national elections and winning as Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwene Inkhundla. In 2018, Honourable Dlamini lost the elections but returned to the position at the following national elections five years later. Then, on 13 November 2023, His Majesty King Mswati III appointed Honourable Dlamini as Minister of Tinkhundla.
The Honourable Minister served as Eswatini Women’s Football Association Vice Chairman and an Executive Member of the Eswatini Football Association between 2004 and 2007. From 2008 until 2017, Honourable Dlamini also served as Secretary General of the Eswatini Football Coaches Association as well as the Women’s Football Association.
