Specialized Weather Forecasts
The Meteorology Department provides specialized weather forecasts to:
• Game parks, forest companies, railway company, towns and cities
• Aviation entity
• TV, radio, newspapers receive 2 day weather forecasts daily.
This service is provided free of charge and is available through fax, email and www
• Monthly Agro Meteorological bulletins
These show the current weather situation in terms of crops and the information is disseminated through the Internet.
Costs: E100 per monthly bulletin
Bulletins for a period of twelve months cost E1 000
To subscribe: The customer goes to government revenue offices to pay, where s/he will be issued a receipt. The customer will then submit his/her receipt to Met Offices.
Seasonal Forecasts
• Issued through the Ministry of Agriculture
• If you request this from the MET Office you pay E100 for forecast and E100 for an update
To subscribe: The customer goes to government revenue offices to pay, where s/he will be issued a receipt. The customer will then submit his/her receipt to Met Offices.
SMS / FAX
• Receive daily weather forecast via an SMS or a fax
• E50 / month or E600 for the whole year
To subscribe: The customer goes to government revenue offices to pay, where s/he will be issued a receipt. The customer will then submit his/her receipt to Met Offices.
Meteorological data
- Meteorological data is offered to:insurance companies, building companies, forests companies, recreational service providers, and anyone else

• Entity requests for data
• Currently free, but will be charged as of 1st April 2011
• E100 for one year monthly data
