Mandate

The Section is mandated to assist sugarcane farmers on Swazi Nation land to improve sugarcane production and productivity in terms of sucrose yield and content and also assist in ensuring that sugarcane production remains a viable enterprise for the small scale producers by helping them reduce the cost of production.

 Services Provided

• Provision of technical advice  to sugarcane producers
• Capacity building of small scale sugarcane producers on Swazi Nation Land
• Assist in the establishment of new sugarcane schemes
• Provide technical advice on sugarcane disease management and control
• Technical backstopping on Sugarcane  production and management
